Accommodation Feature: Our stay at Hotel Muse Bangkok including its delicious restaurants

Updated: Jun 1, 2020

For our first time back to Thailand in 5 years, we had a room booked at the Hotel Muse Bangkok in Langsuan, conveniently located between all the key locations, including Siam, Sukhumvit and Silom.

A hotel dedicated to the golden age of travel, the 1920s European–inspired Bangkok boutique hotel is 5 minutes walk from Chit Lom BTS skytrain station, and a short ride away from shopping malls such as Siam Paragon/Central and MBK.

Escaping the outside pace of Bangkok, we loved walking into the ambient lobby area, only to be sat down to a quick check in and welcomed with 5 shot sized glass of tasty drinks!

Rooms

The lights are low throughout the hotel, creating a beautiful romantic setting which continues in the rooms, embodying a new golden age of Asia that features beautiful mahogany and leather furniture, a very comfy king sized bed, all premium amenities by Shanghai Tang and an amazing rain shower with separate tub.

Among their 174 rooms, we stayed in their Yama King Executive, for 3 days and 2 nights and had glass-walled bathrooms and free-standing tub, as well as free Wi-Fi, TV and coffee machine!

Eat

This is no ordinary steak house in Bangkok. Located on the 19th floor of Hotel Muse Bangkok, the comfy leather chairs and glitzy glamour interior was perfect to enjoy both breakfast & lunch at Babette’s with both International and Asian cuisine choices.

This beautiful Italian restaurant in Bangkok is nominated and selected as one of Thailand’s Best Restaurants every year!

Medici Kitchen & Bar is located in the basement of Hotel Muse Bangkok, a luxurious but rustic, low lit setting which was perfect for date night!

We had the pleasure of chatting with Executive Chef Giuliano Berta, he talked us through his concepts and how he combines homegrown produce with classic Italian recipes. This was just after we were treated to opera singing throughout our dinner, a very special experience.

Drink

One of our favourite spots was the Speakeasy Rooftop bar.

Located across both the 24th and 25th levels of the hotel, we enjoyed signature cocktails with panoramic views across Bangkok’s skyline! There is an ever growing presence of Bangkok Rooftop bars which has attracted some of the top cocktail connoisseurs.

Walking in to the Speakeasy Rooftop bar is like stepping back into the 1920’s! We thought if we hung around long enough we might find Mr Gatsby hiding in the cigar room, or in the stairwell of the secret access door.

Both levels are inspired by the prohibition era, the mixologists and waitors are playful and friendly and deliver the most delicious cocktails.

Every afternoon there were canapes and cocktails included with our executive room which was a beautiful way to relax after exploring Bangkok streets.

Amenities

The 19th floor has a great infinity pool opposite the gym, it was often empty when we visited and also has some fabulous views across the city.

There is also a free tuk tuk service available to drop at the BTS Skytrain.
